Welcome to Omnilore!
In January 1990, ten people joined founder Burt Cutler in the first Study & Discussion Group (S/DG) offered by Omnilore. Today, more than 30 years later, more than 250 Omnilore members select from about two dozen new S/DG’s each trimester.
Each year, Omnilore enriches the lives of these members, who joined because they were seeking intellectual stimulation, new friends and a way to explore interests that were either already familiar to them, that they had postponed due to career demands or that they had discovered because of the variety of learning opportunities they found at Omnilore.
We are now glad to welcome you to experience that same joy of shared inquiry with friends, requiring only that you select an S/DG (or two …or three…) and contribute by preparing a researched presentation and participating in the discussion. There are no tests or grades.
You will find that there are opportunities to socialize and learn beyond the classroom – such as with the Best Sellers Special Interest Group which meets each month to discuss either a fiction or non-fiction selection; with the Walking Group that explores our varied local geography; at a STEM (Science, Technology, Evolution, and Meaning) meeting, and at our Forums, which offer lunch, socialization and a speaker each quarter.
