Prospective members are required to attend an offering of this orientation before joining Omnilore.
This Orientation sessions generally start at 10 a.m. or 1:30 p.m., and last 45 to 60 minutes depending on questions. Note that prospective new members who join at an orientation session will be eligible to participate in our Omnilore courses (called “Study/Discussion Groups,” S/DGs) offered the following (Winter/Spring) trimester, starting in January.

In continued compliance with present Omnilore-LIR and California Covid-19 prevention guidance, most Fall 2021 Omnilore events (Sep.–Dec.), including these "Introducing Omnilore" sessions, are being conducted via Zoom instead of our classrooms in the Beach Cities Health Center (514 N. Prospect, Redondo Beach). On the other hand, we are hoping restrictions will be lifted by the end of 2021. That should mean that most members of all classes will return to our BCHD classrooms for our Winter/Spring 2022 SDGs, when those who join at this orientation session will be with us for the first time. (Hybrid Zoom mixed in-classroom/remote participation will still be provided for any class with one or more members regularly attending from home.)
